Panels Fabrication Technician - 2nd Shift (2:50 pm - 11:10 pm, Mon-Fri) - $21.21/hr

Highwood USA (located in Tamaqua and Hazleton, PA) is part of Premier Outdoor Living (POL), an entrepreneurial manufacturer that produces products for the outdoor living space. POL consists of 3 unique business, Spa cabinets, HDPE Lumber, and Outdoor Furniture.  We operate 3 facilities, 2 in Pennsylvania and 1 in Wisconsin that support the three business.

The Panel Fabrication Technician position will be based in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

Successful Fabrication Technicians- Panel Cell enjoy the challenges of working in a fast paced, team oriented environment while safely completing the processes associated with fabricating quality spa panels beginning with raw material handling, and including pre-assembly, CNC, assembly, quality control, and finishing with packaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:

• Prepare parts & ensure correct materials in appropriate quantities are staged/supplied to the fabrication panel cells.

• Able to properly lay up profile material , apply adhesive, and operate pinch roller

• Operate the CNC foam cutter(hotwire), CNC panel cutter including basic commands and adjustments, and foam densifier

• Able to pack, band and wrap finished product

• Knows and understands quality specifications and completes quality checks

• Adjusts equipment to maintain adherence to customer specification, quality standards, and productivity standards.

• Can follow standard work processes and use LEAN tools such as 5S, Poke a Yoke, and visual daily metrics boards

• Maintains equipment by performing daily and weekly TPM’s

• Is able to follow production schedule and make appropriate schedule decisions

• Able to read the WO per the schedule and translate into properly fabricated panels or corners

• Can print labels and disposition production in IQMS

• Other duties as assigned
